BIG NEWS: We celebrated our 1st Anniversary with our first-ever Sensory-Friendly Family Fun Day!

Horizon Over the Spectrum, Inc. proudly celebrated our 1st Anniversary with our very first Sensory-Friendly Family Fun Day—a powerful and heartwarming event dedicated to creating inclusive, welcoming spaces for neurodivergent children and their families.

This milestone event brought together families, community partners, and advocates for a day filled with joy, connection, and meaningful engagement. Children explored a variety of sensory-friendly activities, including hands-on play stations, movement-based experiences, and calming spaces designed to meet diverse sensory needs.

More than just a fun day, this event was a reflection of our mission—to ensure that every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

Families were able to:

  • Connect with local resources and support organizations

  • Engage in inclusive play without judgment

  • Build community with others who understand their journey

The smiles, laughter, and shared moments throughout the day reminded us why this work matters. For many families, spaces like this are rare—and we are honored to help fill that gap in our community.

Thank you to our sponsors and community partners for supporting this event and making it impactful:

  • Commissioner Dr. LaDena Bolton (Super District 7)

  • Aldi USA

  • Behavioral Health Field, Inc.

  • Parent to Parent of Georgia

  • Wiggle Worm Home-Based Learning

  • World of Love Home Care

  • Play + Wellness Collective LLC

As we look ahead, Horizon Over the Spectrum remains committed to expanding opportunities like this through programs such as our upcoming Sensory Saturdays: Play, Learn & Connect summer series.

Together, we are building a more inclusive future—one event, one family, and one child at a time.
