Autism Therapy

Did You Know?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has increased, with current estimates indicating that approximately 1 in 36 eight-year-olds in the U.S. is diagnosed with ASD.

Our Solution: Horizon Over the Spectrum (HOTS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, operates monthly sensory-friendly playgroup sessions as an out-of-school youth wellness program for neurodivergent children and their families. These sessions take place on weekends and during school breaks and provide structured sensory play, movement activities, calming spaces, and family engagement opportunities in an inclusive environment.

In addition to the monthly playgroup sessions, HOTS hosts an annual Autism Awareness Family Fun Day that expands access to sensory-friendly programming through a larger community-based experience. Together, these programs support children ages 2–14 by promoting emotional regulation, social interaction, and whole-family wellness outside of the traditional school day.
